HOLGER CZUKAY / PYROLATOR, OTUCHA COLLECTIVE & SCHNEIDER TM
Joining forces, Pyrolator, Otucha Collective (Agnieszka Kucharska, Doro Michalak & Ola Zielińska) and Schneider TM enter into an ethereal, improvisational dialogue with Holger Czukay’s Gvoon – Brennung 1, shaping a gently shimmering re-encounter with his exploratory spirit. What we hear is a condensed edit of a much longer, free-flowing session—an aural fragment that hints at deeper currents beneath the surface.

The improvisational concert preceding the release took place on March 13, 2026, at Kiezraum Dragonerareal in Berlin.

CONTEXT
In 2025, previously unreleased material from Holger Czukay’s archives was released as Gvoon – Brennung 1 on Grönland Records. The 1997 recording originated from Czukay’s collaboration with media artist Arthur Schmidt (Gvoon), initially conceived as a personal gift reflecting Schmidt’s experiences in East German prisons. The material was later remastered by Dirk Dresselhaus (Schneider TM) and released to mark what would have been Czukay’s 87th birthday.
This release initiated Gvoon Versions 2–11, a series published by MirrorWorldMusic that invites international artists to reinterpret the source material. Otucha Collective was invited by Dirk Dresselhaus (Schneider TM) to contribute within this framework.
